Why choose modular robotics?
Linear units, possibly in combination with electric cylinders, can be combined in various forms of multi-axis positioning systems, also called gantry robots. This is the most flexible way of robotization and the possibilities are almost endless. There are a number of standard accessories available for standard configurations to realize a multi-axis system in 3D.
New are the OVR Solutions from our partner Orientalmotor , which take this one step further by extending the same flexibility to scara and up to 6-axis robots. Advantages of this type of robot compared to a standard industrial total solution are:
- infinitely configurable and adjustable in terms of reach and lifting capacity.
- easier to maintain due to better accessibility of the components.
- perfect integration into the specific situation, for example to smaller dimensions if space is limited.
