Toothed rack and pinion
Description
Racks are used in many applications for linear movements. The range is almost endless, both in terms of material choice and dimensions.
For light applications, racks in POM or Polyketone are interesting: their weight is lower than the alternatives in bronze, steel or stainless steel and with the right dimensioning, a long lifespan can still be achieved.
It is also worth mentioning the option of choosing a helical toothing, which reduces the play and therefore achieves higher precision.
