The MD800 multi-axis solution results in both fewer components and less cabling, increasing reliability and reducing overall installation costs.
The drives are controlled from the Siemens PLC via Profinet, and due to the Multi-axis concept, only one drive is required per machine, which means that only one Profinet communication card is needed.
Furthermore, the footprint of the multi-axis driver is significantly smaller, saving space in the cabinet.
The MD800 controller is expandable by 1or 2 axes per drive and up to a maximum of 8 axes per rectifier.
Shuffle-Mix now uses 150 to 200 axes annually, and the modular design of the MD800 allows the power and number of drives per machine to be tailored to needs.
At the moment, the threshold for also transferring the Siemens PLC and HMI to Inovance is still too high, but the Inovance Servo solutions also with Profinet communication.
