A reduction box or gearbox allows you to reduce the rotational speed of the motor in order to increase the output torque proportional to the ratio of the reduction box. This often allows a motor with smaller power to be selected with still sufficient torque to drive the load.
Act in Time offers the most extensive range of reduction gearboxes, both for small DC motors with a diameter of 8 mm and for servo motors with permissible output torque up to 5000 Nm.
We further distinguish between reduction gears for drive and for positioning tasks. In the latter category, the clearance between the teeth in the reduction gearbox is important and this affects the price and internal structure.
The simplest gearboxes are equipped with straight teeth made of sintered material, plastic or milled gears. These are often offered permanently mounted with AC motors , DC motors , Brushless DC motors or stepper motors. That is why we have included them in the engine product category.
The more high-quality reduction gearboxes are available separately and can be provided with a suitable inlet flange so that they can be freely combined.
This category includes reduction gears with planetary , so called harmonic or cycloidal and angled or bevel gear .
