Toothed rack and pinion
Description
Racks and pinions are used in many applications for linear movements. The range is virtually infinite, both in terms of material choice and size. For light applications, the racks in POM or Polyketone are interesting: their weight is lower than the alternatives in bronze, steel or stainless steel and with the correct dimensioning a long lifetime can still be achieved.
It is also worth mentioning the option to choose a bevel gear that reduces the backlash and therefore achieves higher precision..
