The kinetic energy of the motor and of all driving elements is disconnected up to the safety coupling to reduce any damage to a minimum.
At direct drives the input and output shafts are in the same flight. A compensatory element must be mounted on the safety coupling to balance the axial- and radial shaft misalignment. Diverse versions with metal bellow- or elastomer coupling attachment can be selected from an extensive program.

At indirect drives the center lines of the driving and driven side are not on the same axis. Every safety couplings for indirect drives have a mounting flange equipped with six metric threads. Toothed belt disks, gears, flangesor other extensions with high concentricity- and planning precision can be attached to the coupling flanges.
